After its exhibitions on Maurice Denis and Brittany in 2009, awarded the distinction” Of national interest” by the Minister of Culture and Paul Ranson, Nabi artist: Fantasy and Spells in 2010, the museum presents Ker-Xavier Roussel (1867-1944), the Bucolic Nabi.

The exhibition showcases works infused with the synthetist theories of the Pont-Aven School as well as the artist's Nabi tendancies. In France, there has not been an exhibition devoted to Ker-Xavier Roussel since 1994.

The Pont-Aven Museum presents one hundred works of the artist, grouped by different techniques. They demonstrate how the artist, as a Nabi, had absorbed the theories of Synthetism, but always in works evoking arcadian landscapes. The works come from large public collections, such as the BNF (National Library), the Maurice Denis Museum in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the Malraux Museum in Le Havre, the Augustins Museum in Toulouse, the Annociade Museum in St-Tropez, etc. and from important private collections in Europe.
