Collective Folie is the project of a giant tower that will be born this Spring on a lawn in the park and will disappear at the end of the Summer. Tadashi Kawamata designed it specifically for the site. The artist invites the public to take part in the construction and then the deconstruction of the tower during workshops he will carry out with students who are familiar with his creative methods.
As the work is never completed, it is in constant evolution.
The tower is a dialogue between art and architecture, and will rise collectively to assemble the pieces of wood, the material the artist prefers to all others for his works.
Collective Folie is a living experience. On weekends, visitors will discover from its heights unusual views and new perspectives of landscapes.
