In 1702 the new typographic character creted by printer Philippe Grandjean is presented to the public. It is the king's roman. Due to its aesthetics and its technique, this new character modified the development of European typographies. The aim of its creation was the work in honor of the King and of his reign called Medals on the main events of the reign of Louis the Great.
