Some forty drawings (1909-1950) and prints (1913-1923) show the interest Max Beckmann had "for all forms of visible beauty or ugliness": from war scenes to theater ones, without forgetting social and urban life, mythologic or allegoric scenes, or even landscapes and portraits.
