Commissioned by the emperor Akhar in the XVIth century, the Hamzanama manuscript, telling the mythic story of Hamza, included 1400 paintings on cotton, important in the history of Mughal art. 68 between the two hundred survived illustrations are presented, showing scenes of heroïsm or magic, where dragons, sorcerers, princesses and giants are depicted...
