| This process of mechanical and chemical reproduction perfected by Daguerre looks like a poor aspect of the beginnings of photography. Yet the 300 works presented here following a theme correct this injustice by revealing the importance of the daguerreotypes as witnesses of the changes in France in the second half of the XIXth century. |
