| The Japanese wave of the middle of the XIXth century had a special effect in Nancy, with the artists of the city sharing the sensitivity for nature and fauna. Japanese decorative art thus offered Art Nouveau a renewed repertoire -bamboo, butterflies - and new shapes. |
