Commissioned by Emperor Akbar in the XVIth century, the Hamzanama manuscript that tells the mythic story of Hamza, includes 1400 paintings on cotton. Among the 200 remaining today, 68 that evoke scenes of magic and heroism, emblematic of the Moghol art, are grouped together.
