Cartier / Fabergé : Rivalen am Zarenhof

Cartier / Fabergé. Rivals at the Czar's court
From november 28 2003 to april 12 2004
Decorative art
At the turn of the XIXth and XXth centuries, the jewelrers Cartier and Fabergé fought for the honor of receiving the commissions from the Czar Nicolas II of Russia. The 500 precious objects and jewels presented trace the fight between the two creators, but also underline the influence of Fabergé over Cartier. The company of Saint Petersburg unveils all its splendour.
