A return on the tracks of a former rich and powerful caste, that built sumptuous homes in the outskirts of Madurai: far from the usual cliches of India as a heterogeneous and densely populatd country, Gisinger forces us to look with our Western eye and question the colonial power on these luxurious architectures.
