It was in an atmosphere of prudery and censureship of the beginning of the XXth century that Klinger did his numerous sketches.The representatoinof the nude, of the liberated body and the physical sensibility is truly crude and provoking, but his visible interest in the healthy and idealized body refines the artist's understanding and erotic cosmos.
