Thanks to two complementary exhibits, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Tours pay homage to Abraham Bosse, at the time of the fourth centennial of his birth. The initiator of line-engraving in France, Bosse made pieces full of imagination and elegance. Religion, history, science, daily life: all these themes are approached with elegance, and are precious witnesses of his time. |
