Some fifty leaflets illustrate two aspects of the French painter's talent: portraits done with black led -of which the Famille Forestier -precisely translate the personnality of the models, and on the other hand, preparatory studies and his hisotirc compositions or nudes, thus confirming his qualities as a painter of history. |
