The exhibit presents 9 portable, traditionally lacquered computers, which show the entire contents of the museum's photo albums, done in Japan between 1863 and 1890 by the great names of Japanese-inspired photography: Felice Beao, Raimund von Stillfried, Adolfo Farsari, Ueno Hikoma, Kusakabe Kimbei, Tamura Kôzaburô and Yamamoto. These modern photo albums are metaphores of the inanity of traveler's photographs. |
