| The title of the exhibit evokes a specific genre of painting, very much in vogue in England in the XVIIIth century, the Conversation Pieces. These are portraits of groups taken in a private setting, discussing or busy at their favorite pasttime. Based on these paintings, Milovanoff made an installation of 48 large format colored photographs, taken in the city of Pittsburgh. |
