From february 7 to march 9 2004
Through some one hundred oils on canvas, watercolors, prints and sketches, this retrospective allows for Dutch painter Johan Barthold Jongkind (1819-1891) to be rehabilitated. His influence was decisive on the French Impressionsts, in particular thanks to his free touch and his realistic approach to landscape.
