Through the most beautiful pieces from the museum of Shanghai, the exhibit evokes the universe of the Chinese erudite of the second half of the XVIIth century. Destined to be a civil servant, he wished most of all to be an amateur artist. He also collected ancient bronzes and ceramics as well as paintings and calligraphy work by great masters.
