| 100 years after his demise, this is a homage to one of the greatest German portrait artists of the half of the XIXth century. Next to his intimate portraits, we will note his larger, ceremonial portraits, among which the one of Pope Leon XIII, Emperor Franz Joseph I and Chancellor Bismarck. |
