Ancient materials are an endless source of knowledge on the customs and artistic know how of countries in Asia. Thanks to the major donation Krishna Riboud gave the museum last year -some 4000 pieces -the collection of Asian textiles of the Guimet Museum is now one of the richest in the world. To celebrate the event it has organized a first exhibit of prestigious objects, that reflect the collection's extraordinary diversity.
