Some one hundred photogrpahs and original contact sheets allow us to discover Doisneau's beginnings. These shots are a homage to the life of workers in the Renault plant from 1934 to 1939. Though recruited to enlarge the brand's prestige, Doisneau quickly become aware of the sociopolitical dimension of his photographs.
