| The exhibit focuses on the traditional use of luxurious materials to ornament the churches of Rome and of Constantinople from the beginnings of Christianity.The themes developed in some fifteen rare tapestries, from the Middle Ages and the beginning of the XVIth century, are the Old Testament, the life of Jesus and the Virgin, the lives of the Saints. |
