| Jan De Cock's interventions in space are articulated in various phases. First, massive architectonic modifications break th eexisting space, and an interlacing of niches and boxes create a rigourous and geometric landscape, at the same time mysterious and seductive.Finally, the artist's process of creation of the "Denkmäler" (monument) is recreated under the form of photographs. For his prensentation at the Schirn, Jan de Cock will create, for the first time in Germany, a monumental work that will penetrate the outside of the building and transform the site. |
