Guy Tillim's photographs are the result of various trips to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He visited Mobutu's palaces in ruins in Gbadolite, and through his photographs he shows to what point Mobutu modeled his action on that of his predecessors. The photographs show these empty and abandoned sites, similar to mausoleums of recent oppression.
