Mechanical art must not only be looked at from the angle of an opposition to contemporary technology, but one must also ask what makes the relationship between man and machine so unique. The exhibit, designed and organized jointly by the Kunsthaus in Graz and the Musée Tinguely in Basle tries to explain mechanical art, as it presents itself in this beginning of the XXIst century.
