The exhibit shows Langlois' work in all its diversity, from the exotic sketches from his years in Algiers and Egypt up to the large paintings of battles that made his reputation. His 8 panoramas are recreated through an original scenography that gives the idea of a panoramic view, in its fullness as well as in its effects. Often unique, the drawings, photographs, painted sketches and large paintings that make up this itinerary come from private and public collections. They complement some 130 paintings from the museum's Langlois fund. |
