| This retrospective of Bettina Rheims' work brings together over one hundred photographs from her series where glamour predominates: Female trouble, Modern Lovers, Chambre close (Closed room), Les espionnes (the female spies), Kim Harlow, Les aveugles (The blind), INRI, X'mas, Morceaux choisis,(Chosen pieces) Pourquoi m'as-tu abandonnée ?(Why did you abandon me?) and Shangai. The photographer's very personal approach and style allow her to deal with these very different themes with the same intimacy and the same instinct. |
