Through this new exhibition dedicated to the first years of the Roman town of Lugdunum, the museum looks into the question of the acts and phases that decide the birth of a town that decades later should become the capital of Gaule. Nearly 200 objects tell the story of the town's origins and that of its first inhabitants: fragments of weapons, coins, statues, wall paintings, crockery, jewels, writing material and different objects of daily life. |
