Polychromies secrètes, autour de la restauration de deux œuvres majeures du XVe siècle toulousain

From december 10 2005 to april 30 2006
Ancient art
Two major works of art from the museum of the Augustins, the alterpieces from the Toulouse Parliament and that of Notre Dame de Grasse, dated from the end of the XVth century, were restored over the last years. Today the museum presents the result. The exhibition is the opportunity to discover them in a state very close to their original one, to get close to the work of restorers the public hardly knows and to approach historical, technical and artistic questions this type of work leads to.
