John Massey, a major figure in the Canadian artistic, reached international fame with the video As the Hammer Strikes (1982). The exhibit presents two recent ensembles,shown in Europe for the first time: This Land, a series of photographs and videos begun in 2005 and still unfinished, and Soldiers, a series of photographs in 2001.
