Yasumasa Morimura took 10 years to complete this series of self-portraits, in which he depicts himself as Frida Kahlo in her paintings. This work is a tribute to the Mexican artist, inspired by her life, which was, according to Morimura, a world of joy, love, suffering and mental and physical pain. |
