Since their domestication around 6000 BC, the lamas accompany the American Indians in the Andes regions of Peru and Bolivia. They deliver meat and wool. They carried products in caravans in the time of the Incas. To date, these animals take an exceptional position in the everyday life and in religion of the American Indians .
