Focusing on the work of Albert Bierstadt (1830-1902), one of the most famous 19th-century American artists, « Primal Visions » explores one of his dominant themes : the European explorers' impressions of the New World. Featured are fifty works by Bierstadt and his contemporaries, including T. and E. Moran, F. E. Church, and E. Muybridge.
