Sir William Hamilton served as British ambassador to Naples, 1764 to 1800. A passionate collector of art and antiquities, Hamilton was a knowledgeable guide and genteel host to visitors on the Grand Tour. Featured are Hamilton's four volumes on his vase collection and a number of related rare books, prints, art, and collectibles on Naples.
