After Zaha Hadid in 2000 and Daniel Libeskind with Arup in 2001, the Serpentine Gallery commissioned this year the Japanese architect Toyo Ito to design a Pavilion on the Gallery's lawn, providing a unique shocase for contemporary architectural practice.
